Purchasing Clerk is appointed by and reports to the President and is solely accountable for the performance of all assigned responsibilities and associated duties.
This position has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.
Pre - Requisites:
The pre-requisites for the Purchasing Clerk in education, training and experience are listed below. In certain special cases, additional experience and/or training can be substituted for education and vice versa.
High School Diploma and additional training in purchasing/EDI a plus
2+ years experience in manufacturing setting.
As Purchasing Clerk, provide daily and weekly reports as necessary or as requested to keep staff fully informed of the performance or status of all the operations of the department. Any special assignments as required. Daily, ensure the purchasing requirements are met.
ASN paperwork and ensure the accurate EDI entries are made. Able to work with shipping and receiving to ensure orders are placed and shipped within customer required expectations. Excellent and professional communication skills with all levels including customers and vendors.
Manage vendor schedules to include expediting, rescheduling and verifying acknowledgements.
Ensures that all quality controls are implemented, documented and reported according to company policies and procedures.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
