Leading resort in Northern Indiana is seeking a top service performer focused on providing exceptional guest experiences in the restaurant.
The Host/Hostess is responsible for monitoring the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables, estimating wait times for guests, monitoring the guest waiting list, and ensuring that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting.
DUTIESBe pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
Respond to all guest requests appropriately in a timely manner.
Supervises and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to provide fast and courteous service to patrons:
Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners.
Track open/available tables.
Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
Assist in regulating the restaurant operations by maintaining constant contact with servers and kitchen staff.
Directs and instructs the dining room personnel on customer needs to ensure customers receive fast and quality service from the moment they arrive.
Assist in regulating the restaurant operations by maintaining constant contact with servers and kitchen staff.
Assist in bussing, setting up, and maintaining tables.
Make sure all menus of the hotel are clean and presentable.
Ensure doors are clean and stain free.
Confirm with the manager about the parties and events that are going to be held in the hotel.
Give them a comment card and ask them for their valuable feedback regarding the Swan Lake Resort.
Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
Thank guests as they are leaving.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the foodservice manager or immediate supervisor.
Offer additional value-added features to all guests within booking process and during their stay as appropriate.
Check-in with guests during their stay to make sure they are having a fun time.
